Dentist Near Mountain Peak

Convenient Access from Mountain Peak

Out on FM 875, errands usually mean a drive into town, and a dental visit is no exception. If you need a dentist near Mountain Peak, Legacy Dentistry in Midlothian is about 11 minutes north, roughly 6 miles, most of it on one farm road. Implants, extractions, gum care and kids' checkups are all handled in the same office, so one trip often covers what used to take several.

Starting at Mountain Peak Park on Hill Drive, turn east onto West FM 875 and then north onto FM 663. Stay on FM 663 for about three and a half miles, passing Mt. Peak Elementary School and the edge of south Midlothian. At the US 287 interchange, go west a short distance and exit to the South US Highway 67 frontage road. Turn right on West Main Street, then left on Eric Street.

Our office is at 151 Walton Way #102, Midlothian, TX 76065, on the west side of the city near US 67, and the route is easy to preview on Google Maps. The same stretch of FM 663 serves our patients in Lawson Farms, while families in Venus come in from the west along US 67.

Rooted in Mountain Peak's Long Country History

Mountain Peak is an unincorporated community in northwestern Ellis County, sitting on FM 875 about five miles northwest of Waxahachie, according to the Handbook of Texas. Settlement began in the mid-1870s under the name Singleton's, and a post office ran under that name for just two months in 1878.

By the early 1890s the community had taken the name Mountain Peak, on the advice of G. J. Penn of Waxahachie. Back then it had a school, about six businesses and a cotton gin.

Postal service ended in 1906, and today mail for the area carries Midlothian 76065 addresses. Much has changed since then, but the community's name has stuck to its park, its elementary school and the road maps.

The setting is still semi-rural, with open country along FM 875 west of FM 663. City of Midlothian limits now reach the area: the 10-acre Mountain Peak Park at 6411 Hill Drive and W. FM 875 is a city park, listed with the City of Midlothian parks and facilities. Schools are part of Midlothian ISD, and Mt. Peak Elementary on FM 663 keeps the community's name in daily use.

Out here, people tend to value a practice they can stick with. Legacy Dentistry is privately owned and treats patients with a holistic, root-cause approach, so a recurring toothache or a sore jaw is traced to its source rather than patched and forgotten.

Fewer Trips, Fuller Care: What Mountain Peak Patients Should Know

When every appointment starts with a drive up FM 663, sending patients to three different offices for one problem gets old fast. That is why it matters that Legacy Dentistry completes care under one roof, including root canals, extractions and dental implants from start to finish.

Planning is where that starts. The office uses CBCT 3D imaging and guided implant surgery, which let our dentists measure bone and plan an implant's position before treatment begins. For someone who has been living with a gap for years, a clear plan answers the first big question: is there enough bone to work with?

Gum health deserves attention at every age. Gum disease often develops quietly, with little pain until teeth start to shift or loosen. Regular cleanings, and deeper treatment when it is needed, protect the bone that holds teeth in place and keep future options open.

Families with younger children have their own priorities. Kids from age three are welcome, and an early visit lets a child at Mt. Peak Elementary meet the team before anything hurts. For dental emergencies, we prioritize getting you in the same day, which helps when a fall in the yard chips a tooth.

Many patients also want an easier experience. Nitrous oxide is offered at no extra charge even for cleanings and checkups, and oral or IV sedation is available for patients who need more help relaxing. Massage chairs and TVs in every treatment room help the time pass.

Treatment Options From a Dentist Near Mountain Peak

  • Dental Implants

From the 3D scan to the final crown, implants are placed and restored in one office. Patients who already wear a denture can ask about implant dentures that click into place for steadier chewing.

  • Gum Disease Treatment

Bleeding, puffy or receding gums are signs worth checking. Treating gum disease early helps Mountain Peak residents keep their natural teeth and protects the bone an implant would need later.

  • Tooth Extractions

When a tooth cannot be saved, our dentists remove it in the same building where any replacement will be planned. Sedation options make the visit easier for anxious patients.

  • Restorative Dentistry

Crowns, bridges and fillings rebuild worn or broken teeth. Handling several repairs in one plan cuts down on extra drives into Midlothian.

  • Children's Dentistry

Gentle checkups from age three give kids a positive start. Parents can often line up their own cleanings around the same trip into town.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Legacy Dentistry from Mountain Peak, and how do I get there?

From Mountain Peak Park, the office is 6.1 miles away, about an 11-minute drive. Take FM 875 east to FM 663, head north to US 287, then exit to the US 67 frontage road, West Main Street and Eric Street. For anyone who wants a dentist near Mountain Peak, it is a toll-free trip that stays mostly on one road.

What are my options if I'm missing several teeth?

There are several good options, depending on how many teeth are missing and where. A bridge can fill a short gap, implants can replace single teeth, and a full or partial denture can restore a whole arch. Some patients choose implant dentures or All-On-4 for a steadier fit. Our dentists compare the choices with you after an exam and 3D scan.

Is there a savings plan for retirees without dental insurance?

Yes. The Legacy Dentistry Dental Savings Plan is open to patients without insurance, including retirees who lost coverage when they left work. It offers many of the same benefits as traditional insurance at a lower price, with less red tape. For larger treatment, financing through CareCredit, LendingClub or Green Sky is also available.

What causes bad breath that won't go away?

Lasting bad breath usually starts in the mouth. Common causes include gum disease, plaque on the tongue, an infected tooth, a dry mouth from medications, or food trapped around an old filling or denture. Mints only cover it up. A cleaning and exam can find the source, and treating gum disease or a hidden cavity often clears the problem up.

What should I do about a toothache that comes and goes?

Get it checked soon, even if the pain fades. A toothache that returns often means a cavity, a cracked tooth or an infection near the root, and those rarely heal on their own. Catching it early can mean a filling instead of a root canal or extraction. Until your visit, avoid chewing on that side and skip very hot or cold drinks.
